Simply Adorned

Stampin' Up!'s Simply Adorned Charms, Chain and Baubles was so much fun to create a wearable piece. The charm size on this necklace is 1"x1 1/4" Beveled Glass Front.

The small charm you see in this necklace is 5/8" x 5/8" square charm.

The charms are two-sided...I loved the hidden surprise with a picture with Landon. In the small square charm is a picture of Norman and Landon.

I had so much fun playing around with all the baubles and just trying to decide where to place them. At the end, I placed them all on the same side. It was so much fun to wear. The Simply Adorned Chain is 34". Enjoy!

Self Expression

The little guy loves to express himself...he certainly does not hide how he's feeling.

Artist in training

Earlier in the week we discovered that Landon loves to scribble. But again...what kids doesn't. I have to say that he sat still in one spot for over 20 minutes. Totally amazing and fun to watch him play.

TDS work visit with Mom

Landon came with me to work this morning before his Auntie came to pick him up. He loved sitting at the desk and was very content drawing. Little did I know that when I wanted to carry him off to go play with toys...we was going to be upset. Silly mom, why would I want him wandering around when he was perfectly happy to sit and draw.

Landon's teething again...

Landon walks around like a leaking faucet...the drool is intense. He's been a good sport despite all the discomfort of the molars coming in.

Paper Pumpkins

I lifted this idea out of the Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog and I have to say that they were easy and a whole lot of fun to make. I took 25 strips of 5/8" x 6" strips to create this pumpkin. Enjoy!

The last of the 40th Celebrations

Happy Birthday Barbara! So happy that we were able to celebrate with you...although a month early, it was awesome to close out the year in Newport Beach. Safe travels back to Austin. It was great seeing you and Greg.

The boys were there but we only got a picture of the girls.

34 weeks

We were lucky enough to get away from extreme heat and head to Newport Beach. It was still warm but it was breezy and much much more comfortable.

Landon @ 14 months

Happy 14 months Landon. Just this last week, Landon has mastered walking. This has got to be one of the biggest milestones to date. It is so much fun to see him walk because you can see the joy and happiness in his face as he cruises around the house. He loves it!

Time for another haircut after 7 weeks. Don't let this picture fool you...he started by sitting still but then he needed to be distracted in order to get his haircut done right.

Here's the finished look...Landon's second haircut by Christina.

Landon playing with cousin Evan's toys.

The interaction between the two was fun to watch. Landon kept trying to interact and play with Evan but Evan wanted nothing to do with Landon. I would say it's the first time that they have been together where they were both walking. When Evan was able to stand, Landon was barely learning to crawl. So it was really cool to see them walking around. I'll have to admit that Landon was destructive and Evan was more mild and understood how to play with his toys. Landon will get there (fingers crossed). Landon is 4 months younger.

It has been a long day of play for Landon. He went without his second nap (probably wasn't a good idea)..this is how Daddy found Landon after he fell asleep. Seriously, this was not staged. Landon managed to get all his friend piled on top of him.

33 weeks

33 weeks...7 more to go. The baby weighs a little over 4 pounds and the head size is measuring at 34 weeks (no surprise here). She is super active and I can constantly feel her move around, especially as her space in my belly is getting tight.

I spent the afternoon with my childhood friends in Palos Verdes at the Terranea Resort for a birthday celebration with Charlotte. It was an awesome time as we sat on the deck overlooking the ocean catching up over a yummy lunch. It was the first time all year that the eight of us celebrated together.

What the...

Oh boy. What the...? I thought Po-Po(Grandma) had put the curlers in his hair but it was apparently, my sister! I guess she is really excited about the impending arrival of her niece. It's crazy to see the big o' smile on Landon's face. I should mention that Po-Po has curlers in her hair all the time. "Aiya" is what I have to say about this photo.

Fancy Favor Bags

I spent the last couple of evenings making 100 Fancy Favor bags...

...here's what they look like flat...

...all you would need to do is is to pull the backing off the tape to adhere the bottom flaps. You can easily untie the bow to put your goodies inside.

...here is the bundle. Wow. What to make next?

31 weeks

A beautiful day in Coronado Island. We sat in the sun, if was a very comfortable 75 degrees, the water was freezing cold but the sand was warm, soft and sparkled of gold. We sat under a beach umbrella and watch the dolphins swim. One fine day. Photo taken: Sept 6, 2010

Landon Boy

A quick update on Landon...he loves, yes, loves to walk. He'll take a few steps on his own, but if you hold his hands...he can walk and walk and walk. Best of all, he loves to go outside with Po-Po for a walk up and down the street. He loves to stop and squat to pick up leaves and sticks. So cute.

He also loves to climb on chairs, sofas and boxes and ride his McQueen Car he got for Christmas from his Ye-Ye. He's mastering pushing backwards...we're going work on going forwards this week. Pictures taken Sept. 4, 2010
