Winter Retreat Scrapbook

I'm getting back in the groove of things. Here is a scrapbook that I've been working on using Stampin' Up!'s Simply Scrappin' Winter Retreat. The album is SU!'s Chipboard Ring Album and the pages are 8.5x8.5. Here are several pages from the book...it took two Simply Scrappin' Kits to complete my book but it was worth it. I kept it simple and didn't use any additional embellishments or stamps to complete the pages. I did use a few extras brads for the album cover. The pictures are from a recent road trip. Norman and I and the rest of the cousins in Southern California went to visit family up in San Francisco area. It was a great time.

Disney Family Holiday Party

We had a great time at Disneyland on December 9th at the Disney Family Holiday Party. They close the park down for the employees and their family to spend a magical evening in the park. We went with our friends Derrick, Winnie and their sons, Matthew and Garret.

Mexican Riviera

Our vacation with our friends that we consider family...I think we clean up rather nicely.
Lovers Beach, Cabo San Lucas, Sea of Cortez. The waters were amazing...clear as can be.

Norm thought he'd help the vendor make some sales while we were in Mazatlan...

Happy as can be with a full stomach...

Winter Post # 2

Here is a photo of the party gifts I stamped for my stampin' friends at our little holiday party today. I used Stampin' Up!'s Winter Post stamp set to decorate my kraft boxes along with Riding Hood Red Red/Very Vanilla Grosgrain Ribbon. I loved how they turned out. I got the idea from the SU! Holiday Mini Catalog.

I Wish

Stampin Up!'s Simply Scrappin' I Wish was such an easy kit to use to create 30 cards. I had a blast designing the cards and can't wait to share in my 30 card class next weekend. I still have room for two more if anyone is interested to attend.

Spotlight on Christmas

Here is another card that we made tonight at Hostess Club. I wanted to share a card that is specifically a holiday set made into a card that you can give to a guy. Stampin' Up!'s Spotlight on Christmas set coordinates with SU! punches. It is a great stamp set, anything to eliminate cutting by punching is awesome.

The Lau Girls

Today, the Lau girls got together for our monthly gathering. We had lunch at Islands in Torrance and then spent several hours painting our pottery pieces at Color Me Mine. We had a blast painting away.

Kandace finished her candy dish pretty quickly...

Vivian finished her frame shortly after and decided to paint a second piece.

Joycee and I took a little longer, but in the end we all had a great time.

Here's my finished painted piece. Can't wait to see it glazed and all pretty and shiny.

My first Scrapbook Expo

My cousin Janice and I went to our first Scrapbook Expo in Ontario today. Pretty neat place to purchase scrapbooking goodies and see fun ideas. It has to be the best place to find deals. We dove into bins of $1 items and did our best to hang on to our finds because if you didn't, the lady next to you might just grab it from you. I think I went a little crazy today but it's all good. I had a great time.
