Delightful Dates Calendar Art Update
I was so excited when I found this frame. 12x24...not an easy size to find. I was thinking that I needed to have a frame custom made. But I was lucky to find it on Black Friday and get extra savings. WhooHoo. Hmmm, where is this piece of art going to go?
anyone else wanna make one? i can order materials. let me know.
Delightful Dates Calendar Art
The moment I saw SU!'s Delightful Dates Calendar Kit featured in our November 2009 issue of Stampin' Success, I knew I had to recreate it. This is very similiar to what was shown...I tweaked it with the embellishments and flowers dies that I already owned. I'm almost done, I need to add one more picture at the upper left hand corner (probably a family pic), mount the pieces to the background and get it framed. I'm so excited!

Trees
This idea comes directly from the SU! Idea Book and Catalog and Holiday Mini Catalog. These Trees are super easy to make. I used two sheets of 12x12 to create one tree. The 12x12 sheets was cut down to four sheets of 6x8 and the triangles were glued together with Tombow Multi Purpose Adhesive. The smaller tree in the background was created by using 4 sheets of 6x6 DSP paper. Hope you'll give it a try...I think these would brighten and room at home or in the office.

Shoebox Swap Projects - Nov 09
Kathy Lancetti hosted our shoebox swap over a week ago and just finally getting around to posting the samples. We got together on a Friday evening, brought one or two projects each, some food and some drinks....and the rest speaks for itself below. We had a blast!
A gift for you/Merry Christmas SU! Two Tags treat was created by Kathy Lancetti. The cute little stamp comes from SU!'s Hostess stamp set called Christmas Punches. Simple and fun!
Treat box by Tracey Nelson. This box was created by putting together two SU! Scallop Envelopes together. So darn cute. I also learned that the trio of snowflakes from Christmas Punches coordinates with SU!'s Boho Blossoms punch. How cool is that?! Love it.
This Rudolf card aka the "SU!'s Dasher stamp" was created by me. I got my layout and color inspiration from Kristina Werner.
Patterened Pines by Kathy Lancetti. It was fun to create the hills of snow using the Texturz Plates. Gives the card a lot of dimension and depth.
Both Delightful Decorations cards are by Connie White. Love the versatility of this set. With the slight change in color palette gives the cards a completely different feel. Loved adding the little bits of bling by using a two-way glue pen and some dazzling diamonds glitter.
Beware Pirates Card/Envelope by Theresa Argonza-Gomez. The multiple layers of distressed cardstock and twill tape really pulled the look of this card together. This card was very cool.
Thanks everyone for an evening of stampin' fun! Big thanks to Kathy for hosting the shoebox swap in her home. Can't wait to have another shoebox swap.

Cousins #2
Landon got me out of bed at his usual time, 3:30am. I went to make his bottle but he faked me out...all he wanted was his pacifier. So here I am, posting a few pictures from last Saturday.
Celebrating Ryan's 7th birthday. So Cal Cousins (from left to right):
Luke, Canaan, Ryan,(Chae, the one playing with fire), Ashley Corbin, Charlotte, Landon.
Landon was able to rollover with a little help. Won't be long before he can do it on his own.
It's now 4:08am, going to check on the little one and try to go back to bed. He must be asleep...the house is very quiet.

Landon @ 3.5 month update
We took Landon in for his check-up with Dr. Stephanie Whang earlier this week and the Landon boy was a riot in the office. First, he decided to "P. Freely" when Norman took his diaper off and when the nurse was giving him some oral meds...he projected some of his last meal. Oh boy!
Other than being a boy. He is growing. Just nine weeks ago he weighed 9 pounds 12 ounces and this week he weighs 13 pounds 12 ounces (he has more than doubled his birth weight). He grew another 3.5" and is 25.25 inches long. He now wears 6 month clothing.
He continues to smile and coo's when we talk to him. It is a joy when Landon laughs when we make funny faces and shower him with kisses. He no longer sleeps in the bassinet in our bedroom and sleeps in his crib. The transition was easier for him than it was for me. The first night in his crib, I must have stared into the video monitor all night. I'm all good now.
He loves playing in his crib, kicks his legs and swings his arms, makes funny happy faces and coo's when the mobile above him is on. So darn cute.
Landon can hold his hands together and loves to stick them in his mouth. Just loves to stick them into his mouth. If we take the one hand away...the other one instantly goes in. Most recently, he found his feet...just waiting for the toes to go into his mouth.
We still can't tell who Landon looks like. What do you think? I've set up a poll at the top of my blog. Please vote.
