Stampin' Up! Everyday Occasions Kit

I completed this card kit after two visits to the indoor playground and during some down time while we were on vacation.
I first stamped all the pieces before assembling the awesome cards.
My first set of completed cards. I'm loving the different sizes, color palette and pattern mixing.
At my second visit...I completed these cards. So easy. The kit came with everything I needed. I just needed to grab the box, a pair of scissors and adhesive.
Last week, I completed the last set of cards in no time.

Sunday Night Early Dinner Date

I love staying current with PL pocket pages.

Favorite Scrappers Blog Hop

Hi friends,
My family and I were on vacation last week when I was suppose to post for the blog hop. Didn't know that the internet connection from where we were staying wasn't going to make posting happen. I'm going to make it up today by sharing what I have been working on for the last 8 days.
Today, I’m here as part of a super fun blog hop going on in the online scrappin’ community. I’ll be sharing about those who inspire me and then a bit about myself. I feel so honored that one of my very favorite scrapbookers and cousin, Janice Matsunaga, tagged me to be a part of this blog hop.
If you don’t already know Janice, you would appreciate her sense of creativity and love for simplifying the process. I would have to say that Janice was the one that introduced me to rubber stamping years ago that has translated over the years into scrapboooking. Janice's designs are simple, fun and I love how she manages to pattern mix. I would also have to say that her handwriting is one of favs and often wish I had handwriting like hers. You can read more about Janice’s creative process and see her unique style on her blog here. JANICE'S BLOG

Here are some questions I’ll answer as part of this blog hop:

Q: What am I working on right now?
A: Right now, I'm working on my PL pages from our vacation this last week as well as vacation mini books for my son and daughter. I am happy to say that I've been staying current with my PL. My goal is to complete my PL pocket pages before I return to work on Wednesday. The first thing I did was to print the pictures...I was motivated to get started right away. I sent my pictures to Costco the afternoon we got home and picked them up before closing time.

Q: How long does it take me to create a project?
A: I will admit, that I am about all things creative. I live in the creative world at every moment. I am seldom without a project especially when it comes to documenting my everyday life. I have to give myself a deadline because I am a believer that part of the creative process is that it is a process. When it comes to scrapbooking, I find myself keeping up with printing pictures and slipping them into the pocket pages is a huge accomplishment in itself. I will then go back and then start designing, journal and embellish. As you may have noticed, my ratio from pictures to design is that I love my pictures.

Back in the day(just 4 years ago), I would design my pages first and then add the pictures later...and I never believe in scrapping chronologically until I was introduced to PL. (Thanks to my cousin Janice)

Q: What are my favorite things to create with at the moment?
A: At the moment, I love using Project Life by Stampin' Up! I'm into the card packs, coordinating accessories pack and most of all, the pocket pages.

Q: How does my writing/creating process work?
A: My creative process generally starts with a sketch while I look at the set of pictures I'd like to layout. I'll also jot down notes and begin pulling aside the cards and embellishments that I think I'll want to use. Things get moved around depending on color story, all the while making sure it's not too matchy matchy but still fun and harmonious.

Q: How do I become inspired and stay inspired?
A: I look for inspiration everywhere but lately, I find myself on Pinterest and Instagram...a lot.

Q:What is my signature style?
A: My signature style...I like things that are simple and clean...that's the graphic designer in me speaking. Lately, I've been pretty eclectic when it comes to scrapping my pages. I love to mix and match colors, patterns...giving it a good hand feel.

Now onto my favorite scrapper!
My cousin, Janice Matsunaga (aka “mochajan”) is one of my favorite. But she said that I could not tag her back. I'll finish this post by noting that she inspires me and has brought me joy by introducing me to the world of scrapbooking.

Thank you for stopping by and hope that you'll come back soon.
