Seriously, where has the time gone. Olivia had her 8 week check-up with Dr. Stephanie on Monday and she did well. Everything looked good...Norm and I have some work to do...she's a little flat headed on her right side, we need to moisturize her a bit more...especially in her folds & scalp and to have her practice tummy time. We certainly didn't have these little issues with Landon. We're living up to the
"the second one gets less attention"scenario. We're working on it constantly.
She has packed on the pounds...she now weighs 12 pounds (she was 8 pounds at 2 weeks)! She went from being int he 35% when she was born to 84% in weight! Wow. She is 23.5" long (was 21.75 at two weeks) and her head circumference has also grown from 14" to 15.5". Baby girl is already out grown a lot her clothes...we're moving out of the 3 month sizes and going to 3-6 months. She is long and has the cheeks for us to pinch.
Oh Landon! He is a curious and adventurous little one. Loves to explore anywhere and everywhere we go. He has always been independent...puts himself to sleep (97% of the time), brushes his own teeth(we also make sure we go in and do it right...he screams but it needs to be done), he likes to climb up to the sink and wash his own hands and the newest ones are going potty and self-feeding. Not at once...but he is hitting milestones like crazy. We're also encouraging him to use his words and it is rather cute to hear him try to speak real words. As you know, he's been speaking Landon speak for months now. His newest word is yes...or in Landon's world: "esss" and his nods are adorable.
He loves cheese...string cheese, had his first quesadilla and cheese sandwich this month. He also enjoys his tangerines, peas, noodles and string beans.
He loves electronics and gadgets...cell phones, iphones, ipads, anything with buttons and makes noises or plays music. We've introduced Toy Story, Wall-e, Finding Nemo and Up! Not certain that he is really watching...which is okay with us. I just love hearing trying to mimic the words.
Landon also loves to try new things and basketball is the latest. He got this bball hoop from his cousins and loves to put the ball into the hoop. So cute.
Landon loves his new baby sister and is always wanting to help. Whether it's to wipe her mouth, give her the pacifier, help with the burping...his favorite is to give her kisses.
Happy New Year! May your year be filled with lots of love, joy and great health!

Olivia @ 6 weeks. Her personality is shining through. Is that a little smile? |
Oh Daddy, you're being silly. |
Our cutie pie! |
Been a little busy with the babies and finally had a minute to post some pictures. I really should be catching some zzzz's but here I am blogging. A lot has been going on the last couple of weeks. We did a little renovation in our family room. It was time to make some room for the kids toys and stuff...so happy with the results. Just loving it. We had the fireplace removed to square off the room...what a big difference it made.

Sweet, Pretty and Creative
Thank you Nicole for this pretty diaper cake and hair clips. Just love all of them. I can't wait for Olivia to wear the clips in her hair. So very sweet!
Baby Olivia is one lucky girl.
Simply creative and it doesn't go unnoticed!

Landon's First Dentist Visit
Landon had his first dentist visit with Dr. Kevin. It went really well...no biting and no cavities! He let Dr. Kevin check all his teeth and use the pokie thing and scrape his teeth. Wow. We need to work on brushing and flossing to keep the plaque out and that will be work, but worth it in the long run. He had such a good time...he didn't want to leave.

Good Times Family Photo
Talking about not paying attention to our friend who was trying to take our family photo. Ah...we all looked in different directions. Thanks Christina for carving out time in your busy schedule to take some great photo/memories for us.

Olivia @ 4 weeks
Our Baby Girl has certainly filled out. She takes her time when she eats but she can eat. I know it's only formula but still. Olivia has her moments during the day when she's not sleeping and just to look into her eyes and her be able to follow your movements...is so very cool.
Her hair is still short...but I wonder if it's gonna be wavy.

Little Feet
Olivia @ 3 weeks today. Wow, where has the time gone. We finally got around to doing the foot print or shall I say the foot stamping on her birth certificate from the hospital. She was either always sleeping or it was just too complicated to coordinate three adults for the photo op.
We started feeding Olivia 4 oz. per feeding cause the little girl never seems to be full. I'll have to go on record and say that she oftens falls asleep before finishing which causes her to cry for another feeding...it is quite the chore. On a good meal, it will take about 30 minutes...on a meal where she falls asleep...it could take over a hour. For reals. She lost her cord yesterday...so we can finally give her a proper bath. Yeah! She's sleeping at least 3 hours at a time in the evening which makes it nice.

Landon @ 16 months
I got my new haircut yesterday |
All smiles as Landon is watching Yo Gabba Gabba |
He loves to go for a walk outside, especially with his Po-Po. He also loves to lay on the lawn...it's really quite funny. He got his third haircut yesterday with Christina and he actually sat quite still, it went better than I thought it would. If he wanted a treat like candy, I would have given it to him. He was that good. So proud. He loves to help Po-Po sweep and vacuum the floor, he pretty much puts things back in place (the grown-up stuff) not so much his toys. His toys are just...all over the place. I believe he comprehends a lot more than we give him credit for. He also helps out with the laundry by taking the laundry out of the wash and putting it the dryer or taking clothes out of the dryer and into the hamper.
Don't get me wrong, he does typical toddler things like going into drawers, closing doors, putting the lid down on the toilet seats, plays with lotion bottles, remotes, loves to talk on the phone, tries to open front doors, climbs onto chairs and boxes, loves to push the buttons on a keyboard and rolls the little ball on a mouse with his index finger, loves to turn the tv on and off, the list goes on and on. He recently discovered my iPad...enough said. All we can do is keep a close eye on him so he doesn't hurt himself. He loves to explore, that's for sure. He continues to scribble with pen and paper, is a good eater and his enjoying more and more table food. He even loves some of the Chinese soup Po-Po makes. When he hears music...he dances not only with his arms and hips...but he picks his feet up and stomps. His drool is finally slowing down and he has a mouth full of teeth that are beginning to bust through his gums. It's getting tough to clean his teeth...as I'm afraid he'll bit down. It's killer.
Landon continues to surprise us everyday and brings us so much joy. I love you Landon Boy!
He has been a great big brother to his little baby sister Olivia. He loves to give her kisses...all the time. No apparent jealousy but it is juggling act when the both of them need the required attention at the same time. We're adjusting and making it work.
There's a whole lot of love in the Lau House.
Daddy's Little Girl
As you can see it didn't take me long to decide which photo to use for this frame project I put together last night. I'm inspired to create. What's next on the list...stay tuned.

Landon a penguin
Landon got this cool hat from his Uncles Nicholas & Scott in Australia. I never knew how hard it was to snap a decent photo of a running penguin. This is what I got. Will have to try again soon.
